Do you have a solid background in mechanical engineering and are driven by optimizing production processes? We are now looking for an analytical and technically skilled engineer for a long-term consulting assignment with one of our prominent clients in Piteå. In the role of mechanical engineer, you will join a close-knit team of six people where you will take significant responsibility for planning, designing, and modifying machinery and equipment. You will work broadly on everything from advanced technical studies to practical implementation in production. We are looking for a team player with a genuine technical interest and the ability to switch between practical work and theoretical analysis. You are structured, meticulous, and take responsibility for your projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Process Development: Develop and improve production methods to achieve set goals.
• Design & Procurement: Design, procurement, and commissioning of product-specific tools and fixtures. Procurement of machines is done in SAP.
• Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshooting and improvements of manufacturing processes as well as programming of CNC machines and test equipment.
• Project Management: Lead or coordinate complex technical activities and actively participate in product development projects.
• Standardization: Create and maintain standards for production practices, including risk management.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 6 years of relevant work experience. Alternatively: Other technical degree combined with more than 15 years of experience in the field.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience working independently with complex engineering tasks and technical analyses.

Meritorious:

• Basic knowledge of 3D modeling (e.g., CREO).
• Experience working in SAP.
